It’s almost always easier to be photographed by someone that you know and are comfortable with. So, I thought I could share a bit of my background and who I am. I was born in Chicago, IL, and I grew up and live in Marysville, MI. I am a loving dog and gecko mom, daughter, sister, and friend. I am currently taking classes online at Capella University for Computer Science with a focus in Web Development and Security Analysis, and still want to take the time to keep up with my photography business. My hobbies include but are not limited to: sewing, making jewelry, building things, drinking a never ending amount of coffee and tea and all things lovely, rhyming, making puns and bad dad jokes, writing, laughing, cooking, studying/reading, working out (when I can), traveling, spending time with my dog, friends, and family, and obviously, taking13781989_10153990648093026_3894079867551550233_n photos.

My passion for photography started when I was around the age of 5. My mom used to use disposable cameras to take a thousand pictures of my sister and I in one sitting. While I dreaded it back then, I appreciate the good laugh I get while looking at photos of all of my awkward years now (I like to pretend I’m not still living them). Anyway, after my mom would FINALLY put the camera away, I would start lining all of my Barbies/baby dolls/Power Rangers up to begin their photoshoot, and then find the camera to snap a few photos and use up the rest of her film. She was never thrilled when we brought the developed photos home.

When Digital cameras came out, my mom decided to get me one for my birthday. I’m convinced it was to save her money on film, but it worked well for me either way. After this, when I was in high school and could start working to earn my own money, I bought my first DSLR. I used it to take my own senior photos, which was a circus of its own. 13907138_10154039871973026_7726629911849763560_nAfter my graduation party, my friend’s parents began asking me to take graduation photos for their younger kids and that is when my photography business first began.
